The Kansas City Royals decided to show some honor for the Thunder and officially had a “Thunder” night in the ballpark tonight. As a part of the deal fans were able to buy Thunder themed tickets to the game and when they did so they also received the below Royals hat.
No better way to support your favorite baseball team and favorite basketball team at the same time. The hat looks pretty sharp and the two logos go together perfectly. It is good to see the Royals having this night for the Thunder since there are no other major sports teams in Oklahoma City, though they do have a Triple-A minor league baseball team. Nights like tonight will help the Thunder extend their fanbase into the Missouri-Kansas area, the more Thunder fans there are the better.

As a part of “Thunder” night at the game Mr. Thunder himself, Nick Collison made an appearance to throw out the first pitch of the game. Collison has some ties to Kansas City. He played for Kansas during college and no doubt that some Kansas City basketball fans watched him tear up the court. Along with Collison, Andre Roberson was at the game and caught the first pitch from Nick.
