Kevin Durant is an OKC man. Despite being from Washington, D.C., Durant is so ingrained in OKC now with the Thunder that is hard to imagine he will leave.
He’s already said in the past that he wants to be a one-team guy for his entire career, like Kobe.
And OKC is devoted to KD, as seen in this incredible video made last season that stitches together his MVP acceptance speech.
In the midst of everything, there has been much talk from the Wizards camp of getting KD to DC in 2016. However, Durant isn’t interested in hearing any of that, having recently said of Washington recruiting him:
“[It] was kind of disrespectful, in my opinion, because you’ve got a great team there already that deserves your full 100% support.”
Durant continued, saying the Wiz should focus on themselves:
“Me, I feel, is you should focus on who you have on your team. It’s easy to get your hopes up and expect a guy to come to your team or whatever — and I’m not talking about myself, I’m just talking about free agency in the past years and in the future — you get your hopes up as a fan, and then they let you down and you end up not liking the player. There’s a little bit too much emphasis on that type of stuff, but it’s part of the game.”
