Kevin Durant is going to be facing a very difficult situation at the end of the 15-16 season. Oklahoma City is going to be facing difficult times coming this Summer in terms with the franchises beloved superstar Kevin Durant. Durant has been with the Thunder franchise since 2007 and now will become a free-agent after nine seasons with the Thunder organization. Kevin Durant is a very valuable player and could fit on nearly every NBA teams roster and continue being a standout player. Durant has the choice to sign with any team that offers him a deal.
Durant has said before that he wants to play for the Thunder throughout his playing career, but that doesn’t mean that he won’t explore other options. Durant was asked about San Antonio’s David West in taking less money, and Durant responded with:

Many people know believe that Durant won’t be chasing money but instead be chasing wins. It’s been said that if the Thunder don’t win the Championship then Durant will be with another team the following season. As of now there are three teams that really have a chance of landing the Thunder superstar. They are San Antonio Spurs, Washington Wizards, and the Oklahoma City Thunder.
The Thunder organization has a close connection with Durant, which gives them a huge advantage in the race for Durant. San Antonio has a huge advantage as well, having a team stacked with talented veteran players who Durant could work well with well. The Wizards have a slight advantage, being the team in his hometown which could definitely influence his decision on which team to join. The race for Durant is still tight, we are still unsure of Durant’s future, but we wish him the best of luck when it comes to deciding where he will play next season.
