The Thunder walked into Dallas a few days ago tied 1-1 in the series and they had lost their home court advantage. OKC did not back down from any challenge as they took both games in Dallas. They took game three easily and tonight they had to put down the Mavericks good fight to win the game, 119-108.
Russell Westbrook was the key player for the Thunder in this game. He was able to keep his cool for most of the game (he did get one technical) and was a major force all over. It helps that Westbrook has found a new player that he can make great plays with, Enes Kanter. The Westbrook-Kanter duo hooked up all night and Kanter made key put-back after key put-back.
Dion Waiters also had another big game for the Thunder. He was able to score 12 points on 4-of-5 shooting. His play in the last two games is definitely a great sign for OKC. If he can continue it then it will give the Thunder the scoring threat off the bench they have been looking for for years.
Kevin Durant was ejected with one minute left in the game and he could now face a possible suspension for game five of the series. Durant did struggle in this game, going 7-of-20 for 19 points and got only four rebounds. Whatever the Mavericks have done this series they have managed to get into Durant’s head. KD will need to get it together to help OKC finish this chippy series off.
